DON'T be too scared if you here somebody wolf-whistling and screeching 'I'm a pretty boy' if you walk around Rogerstone at night... lost parrot Kito will probably be responsible.
And his worried owners Linda Murphy and Marc Budden (pictured) are hoping he'll come home safe.
They are asking anyone who spots the grey African parrot, which has a bright red tail, to call the missing bird hotline and claim the reward for reuniting them with 18-month old Kito.
Said Linda, from Afon Village, Rogerstone: "Kito flew off from our garden last Thursday and we haven't seen him since.
"He is usually fine outside if he has his cage at hand to fly into when scared but I had forgotten to bring it out.
"Something terrified Kito to fly off and not come home." Thankfully, adds Linda, the weather is warm enough at night for Kito to survive but she is worried that he may be short of food.
She said: "Kito eats fruit which might be hard to find - I'm worried he might be attacked by crows.
Kito (pronounced keeto) also can say his name and Linda and Marc were teaching him his telephone number before he went missing.
"Unfortunately he escaped before getting the hang of his number," adds Linda. l If you spot Kito please call the missing bird hotline on 07802 404929.
