NEWPORT County travel to Moor Green tonight (7.30pm) hoping to pile more home misery on the Midlanders.

The Sherwood Road outfit have not won on their own patch in their last four games - and Exiles boss Tim Harris will try and ensure that his Newport side bag their sixth away win in eight games.

But his squad is ravaged with injuries. Right-winger Stuart James (back), strikers Garry Shephard (broken collar-bone) and Lee Phillips (hamstring), defender Steve Benton (knee) and midfielder Matt Rose (hamstring) are all in the treatment room and will miss out.

Forward Steve Cowe (foot) and midfielder Michael Fowler (ankle) both have knocks but are expected to be bandaged up ready to battle on.

Centre-back Jeff Eckhardt will definitely miss out as he is still suspended.

With nothing more than pride to play for at this stage of the Dr Martens Premier League season, Harris is looking at some of the younger members of his squad ready for next term.

Midfielder Allan Stevenson, 18, made his first first-team start in 11th-placed County's 1-0 at Ilkeston Town on Saturday and is expected to start again tonight. Harris has also given run-outs to young striker Lewis Sommers and midfielder Rhys Edwards while academy midfielder Dean Lewis has been called up to tonight's squad as cover for the injured. Seventh-placed Moor Green have 21-goal hot-shot Nathan Lamey in their ranks and have former Aston Villa trainee Adam Rachel in goal.

Despite their recent bad run at home, Harris knows it will be a tough task to get anything from the game.

"On their day they are capable of beating anyone," said the Newport boss. "Just like ourselves."
