Clwb Ifor Bach add a new acoustic night to its eclectic roster this weekend with South Wales' premiere folk goblin, Teflon Monkey.
The Sundaze Sessions start on Sunday, April 7, the first of an ongoing monthly showcases of musical talent of the non- amplified variety.
Telfon, aka Rhodri Viney, pictured, has earned praise from the likes of Gruff of Super Furry Animals for his versatile guitar playing and mature song writing.
The 20-year-old performer is also a member of acclaimed South Wales punk-goth band, Nameless, as electronics wizard.
The Monkey performs either solo or with a backing band made of members of Nameless. For Sundaze he will be accompanying himself.
Support comes from Westgate Street and Hobo, the former of whom were featured on the recent and very good compilation, DockRad.
Reminiscent of Mercury Rev, Westgate Street's songs have a haunting quality that shows great promise.
Hobo is a two-man acoustic guitar machine that plays the theme from the Littlest Hobo at the end of their gigs. They are currently recording a seven ins EP to be released later this year.
There will also be a short slot at the beginning of the evening from guest performers, so bring a guitar if you must.
*Sundaze begins on Sunday, April 7 at 8pm. Entry is £3.50/£2.50.
