WALES captain Scott Quinnell, pictured, is almost certainly out of the Scotland game at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday, but Newport centre Andy Marinos is expected to be fit.
Quinnell is suffering from a knee injury, a casualty of the England game and he missed Llanelli's cup-tie against Bridgend on Saturday.
He says the knee problem is different from the one which has kept him out for lengthy spells this season.
But he says he is still struggling and does not expect to be fit until Llanelli's Heineken Cup semi-final against Leicester at the end of the month.
Marinos badly dislocated a finger against England and had his hand put in plaster, missing the game against Cardiff on Friday night.
But he had the plaster off the same day and was given the all-clear to resume training, saying he should be fit for the Scotland game, if selected.
Because of the bank holiday caretaker coach Steve Hansen will not name a squad today, but announce the team to face the Scots on Wednesday.
