TEN years of quality arts and entertainment continues this season at Blackwood Miners' Institute.
As the evenings get lighter and we're all looking for an excuse to get out of the house, the 'Stute has put together a programme that certainly has something for everyone from light opera to male voice choirs, contemporary dance to community dance opportunities, world music to folk music, kids holiday entertainment to a drama sensation!
Shows to look out for include a programme of romantic music from the National Youth Orchestra of Wales on Sunday April 7 at 5pm, and Pisek Chamber Orchestra on Thursday July 4 at 7.30pm.
On Friday May 3, Simon Day, star of The Fast Show, features for a night of laughter and gags a-plenty as he resurrects favourite characters Tommy Cockles and Billy Bleach. Owen Money returns in his Laughter Show on Saturday June 29, following the runaway success of last year's pantomime Cinderella.
Sherlock Holmes: The Last Act on Saturday June 1 at 3pm, stars Roger Llewellyn as Holmes as he reflects on the loss of his partner in crime-fighting, Dr Watson.
There will be plenty of fun for the kids this season with visits from Bananas in Pyjamas, Newport-based tribute band, Atomic Kittee, and Bodger and Badger.
Guitar legend Gordon Giltrap heads up the list of excellent tutors performing at this season's Guitar Day on Sunday July 7.
This is just a selection of the many events taking place at Blackwood Miners' Institute this summer, for further details call the box office today on 01495 227206.
