JOEY Musaphia will be appearing in Wales for the first time this month courtesy of the Cool House, The Emporium.

The acclaimed remixer, producer and DJ is the star attraction at an already steaming bill (Joey, Dave Mills & Damon Williams, Matt Joy/Matthew Di Blasi and Swis Tony/Jazzy and Jon Dyke).

At the age of 19 Joey enrolled on an audio engineering course where he learned what knobs did what. From remixing friends and experimenting with sounds he got his first record deal with Cooltemp/Chrysalis in 1991 as Taste of Paradise, writing and producing early garage tracks including the Cover Ups EPs. He started his own label, Ulterior, and as Joey Musaphia remixed for Aretha Franklin, Jodeci and Channelle and played at some of Britain's biggest clubs: Miss Moneypennies et al, and clubs across Europe.

Joey plays The Emporium, Cardiff on Friday March 29 from 10pm to 4am. Admission is £7 all night or £6 members.
