EGG-puns are ten-a-penny at this time of year but Applause Production's Easter show Humpty Dumpty and the Queen of Hearts deserves to get away with quite a few.
This children's show, which can be enjoyed at the Beaufort Theatre, Ebbw Vale on Easter Monday, April 1 at 1pm and again at 3.30pm, is described as an 'egg-citing egg-stravaganza' and an 'egg-stra treat' for the family thanks to the biggest egg-head of them all.
So leave those chocolate eggs at home and travel to Ebbw Vale on Easter Monday. The production - which is aimed at three-year-olds and upwards is filled with colourful nursery rhyme characters, songs, comedy and plenty of audience participation.
Britain's master puppeteer Derek Grant has also come up trumps with Jack and Jill, Little Miss Muffet, Wee Willie Winkie, Old King Cole all making appearances.
But the star of the show is undoubtedly Humpty Dumpty, who introduces all the characters in his Nursery Rhyme land.
See how Humpty is blamed for stealing the tarts when it's the Knave of Hearts who's responsible all along.
Tickets cost £4 for adults and £2.50 for children and a family ticket for two adults and two children costs £10.
