COUNTY Motors Cup holders Cwmbran Celtic won through to the semi-finals - but they left it late.

Blaina Westside gave them a fright as they took the lead through Kristian Hapgood. However, two minutes from time when Niki Villars sent the game into extra time where Alex Pritchard and Darren Pugh scored to put Celtic through to face Second Division Llanhilleth Athletic.

In the other replay, Aberbargoed Buds saw off the challenge of Third Division Greenmeadow 2-1. Paul Goddard bagged a brace as Nathan Manley replied for Greenmeadow. Buds now play Pill FC in the other semi-final.

In the First Division leaders, Croesyceiliog beat Mardy 1-0 with Michael Dewar on the score sheet. Struggling Cromwell Youth had three welcome points when visiting Abergavenny Thursdays with Andrew LcLeod and Phillip Doody scoring in a 2-1 victory.

Lucas Cwmbran and Tillery Athletic draw 3-3 with Alan Seddon, Mark Willmott and Simon Howells scoring for Lucas while Darren James, Shane Williams and Mark Hayward netted for Tillery. Trinant and Abercarn United drew 1-1 with Michael Whitlock scoring for Trinant and Jason Richards for Abercarn.

The surprise result in the Second Division was Civil Service defeating second-placed Goytre 1-0 with Barrie Bardsley scoring the goal. Richard Thomas and Simon Persweski scored for Christchurch Hamdden in their 2-1 win over Rogerstone Welfare.

Llanhilleth Athletic had a 2-1 home win over Monmouth Town with Andrew Watkins and Chris Townsend scoring for the hosts. Undy Athletic had a 3-2 home victory over Abertillery Bluebirds.

In the Third Division, Fleur-de-Lys moved off the bottom after their one goal win over Caldicot Castle 1-0, with Darren Phillips scoring. Hafodynynys Bluebirds also had a good home win 4-2 over Brynmawr with Andrew Davies (2), Ryan Davies and Dean Phelps on the mark. Garnlydan Athletic move up into third sport after a hard fought 3-2 home win over Cwmffrwdoer Sports.
