QUENTIN Crisp had already lived a few lives before he became famous with the publication of his 'The Naked Civil Servant' autobiography more than 20 years ago.

From a teenage rentboy to arch-socialite Mr Crisp was soon one of the most sought after names on the party circuit and as an after-dinner speaker.

Now in not such rude health Quentin Crisp's inimitable take on life can be seen and heard at the Sherman Theatre through performer Bette Bourne (pictured).

'Resident Alien' was written with the full cooperation of Quentin Crisp and includes exclusive extracts of his New York diaries.
