TWO months ago the sculptures on view at Malpas Library were not even figments of their creators' imaginations.
Now after just two months of 'Sculpture and 3D' - a new course run by Newport Adult Education Service - figures based on the human form can be seen at the library in Pillmawr Road, Newport.
Pat Singleton, adult education officer said the exhibition was "thrilling," adding: "This exiting new course is open to total beginners as well as the experienced.
"Most of the students are novices, however, who just fancy a change of direction and to have an exhibition after just two months is thrilling.
"Tutor Gill Fortescue has done an excellent job and the students are very enthusiastic."
Anyone wishing to join a future class or find out what else the Adult Education Service has to offer should call Pat Singleton on (01633) 421 048.
