OWEN Price, 18-year-old son of former British Lions and Wales great Graham Price, makes his senior debut for Pontypool in their Principality Cup fifth round clash at British Steel, Port Talbot, writes Paul Tully.
The tight head has played for Wales Youth and Wales Schools and is a member of the FIRA elite squad.
"He is an outstanding prospect and has been a star of the youth team and deserves his chance," said Pontypool team manager Tony Clark.
Pontypool insist they are taking nothing for granted against their Division 3 West opponents, the only team in the competition to have already won five matches in this season's competition, including the defeat of Abertillery.
Nevertheless they rest a number of their top players from the starting line-up, including Jonathan Hawker, Stephen John, Mark Jones and Kuli Faletau.
"We are expecting a very tough game," said Clark. "We are still a big name and every team that plays us, no matter how small, lift their game and we have to be conscious of that."
