UNDY Athletic Club A had their lead at the top of Division One cut to three points as Portskewett beat Thornwell 9-3 in a game they had to win to give them a chance of catching the leaders who drew 1-1 with Monmouth Town A.
Sudbrook Cricket Club A beat Underwood Social Club 3-2, Adrian Briggs, Neil Richards and Terry Watkins scoring.
Tintern Abbey gained a well deserved 3-2 win against Caldicot Castle A which will give them fresh heart.
Chepstow Town A and Mathern Athletic Club produced 11 goals, Chepstow winning 6-5 and Mark Hughes scoring a hat-trick.
In Division Two there was no change at the top with Asda Lloyd Fraser again in fine form, beating Tintern Abbey B 9-1 with Phillip Rogers scoring another hat-trick.
The other three leading clubs all won, Undy Athletic Club beating Monmouth Town B 2-1, Sudbrook Cricket Club B beating Exel 3-2, Carl Arthur scoring two, and Tippling Philosopher beating Caldicot Town 2-1, theirs first defeat in five games.
In the Junior League Under-14s, Caldicot extended their lead to eight points hammering Monmouth Lads Club B 13-0. In the Under-12s Division One leaders Undy Athletic Club beat Garden City A 4-1. In Division Two their parent team Undy Athletic B are top.
