CELEBRATIONS are in progress at Ysgol Gymraeg Trelyn, in Pengam, as the school marks its tenth birthday.
Former members of staff joined parents, teachers and pupils for a day of special activities at the school yesterday.
They were visited by S4C entertainer Martyn Geraint.
Head teacher Anne Hughes said: "Our aim is to provide the best possible education for our children in a happy and caring environment."
When the school opened as one of only two Welsh- medium schools in the former county of Gwent, there were only 112 pupils - there are now 209.
