CWMBRAN Town must be strong away to Welsh League Second Division outfit Blaenrhondda tomorrow (2pm) in the Welsh Cup second round or else they could come unstuck, says coach Roger Gibbins.
The Gwent side have no injury doubts for the match, leaving boss Tony Willcox a nice selection headache as he has a full complement of players at his disposal.
Midfielder Nathan Wigg, pictured, who had a thigh injury, and striker Lee Brown, who suffered an ankle problem, returned to the Town side on Tuesday night for their FAW Premier Cup game against Carmarthen Town, which Cwmbran lost 1-0 after having three men sent-off.
But the trio - centre-back Dean Philpott, skipper Sean Wharton and top-scorer Craig Hughes - will not be banned from League Of Wales or Welsh Cup matches.
"We cannot dwell on that," said Gibbins."Tony (Willcox) has a full complement of players to choose from tomorrow after Nathan and Lee did alright after going on as substitutes on Tuesday.
"Blaenrhondda will be tough, they always are. They will be gunning for us big time as we are one of the biggest teams in the competition, so they'll be after our scalp.
"We've got to be in the right frame of mind and strong. But we will be prepared and focused."
Cwmbran have not done too well in the cup this year, losing all three FAW Premier Cup matches against Carmarthen (twice) and Rhyl.
But they did beat Barry Town 2-1 away in the League of Wales Cup at Jenner Park.
Blaenrhondda lie fifth in Welsh League Division Two and are three points behind leaders Aberaman with a game in hand.
"It will be an absolute battle," said Gibbins. "We have got to give it our all and be strong, otherwise we will come unstuck.
"We are very much looking to win the Welsh Cup as it's another avenue into Europe. Our players must make sure they are ready for Blaenrhondda because they will throw everything at us.
"When we are playing well we play really well, but our performances are too inconsistent."
