WALES and British Lions number eight Scott Quinnell is back- with a pledge that the Welsh team will wipe out the memory of the defeat by Ireland when they take on Argentina at the Millennium Stadium tomorrow.
Quinnell has had a large piece of bone removed from his knee after being troubled for three years before it came to a head on the British Lions tour to Australia.
It meant he missed the Ireland debacle when Wales suffered a record 36-6 defeat.
"The boys were disappointed against Ireland and they want to put that behind them and get back on the road again," said Quinnell.
"Argentina will be very physical. We've played against them four times in the last three years and they've got very physical forwards while the backs use the ball well.
"They're one of the top sides in the world and they pushed Australia hard last year.
"They are full of quality players. I've played with and against their players when I was at Richmond.
"They have had some great victories, beating Ireland and Scotland. We're the only ones that have eluded them and they'll be coming here to put that right.
"It's going to be tough for us, as it was in Llanelli in 1998. In the World Cup and in internationals twice out there, though we won, which was pleasing, there was nothing in it.
"In the Second Test in Argentina they had us on the rack. So we've got to up our game and be positive."
Quinnell gives his backing to Iestyn Harris, whose international union debut is eagerly awaited.
"He's tremendous, a great player with real talent," he said. "He's got great ability, he's played league and union now and he's looking forward to it.
"He brings rugby experience, he's got a great brain, he knows all the angles and he'll exploit a few on Saturday."
Argentina have preferred Felipe Contepomi at outside half to Gonzalo Quesada, who kicked 20 points against Wales A on Tuesday.
Contepomi will be partnered by Bristol team-mate Agustin Pichot.
Lock Rimas Alvarez steps in after impressing against Wales A while full back Ignacio Corleto also earns promotion.
A familiar figure is prop Mauricio Reggiardo, who has played against Wales on all four occasions in the past three years and was in the Castres team against Newport last season and the year before.
