One of the world's greatest guitarists, Nils Lofgren, (pictured) is coming to South Wales. Nils, of the Nils Lofgren Band, is the stars choice of axesmith, chalking up appearances with the likes of Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen.
He recently appeared on the latter's world tour as well as touring extensively as a solo artist. He comes to the Coal Exchange, Cardiff, fresh from touring the world with the E-Street Band, as part of a nationwide tour.
Nils was last in the UK for his 1998 acoustic tour but has not played with his band here for five years.
His latest album, Break Away Angel, will be available exclusively at his UK shows. His solo hit came in 1976, when you could buy his music in the shops, with the album Cry Tough and perhaps his greatest collaborations to date are Neil Young's After the Goldrush and the boss' Tunnel of Love.
Both are characterised by the distinct noises he manages to produce from his Fender Stratocaster which he layers over live favourites such as Take You to the Movies, Back it Up and Keith Don't Go.
