WELSH rugby hero Robert Jones was in Newport this week to sign copies of his new autobiography, Raising the Dragon.
The former Wales and British Lion scrum half met fans in Ottakar's book shop in Commercial Street.
He won 54 caps between 1986 and 1995, more than any other Welsh scrum half, and twice toured with the Lions. He is most associated with Swansea but also played for Bristol, Cardiff and in South Africa.
His career enjoyed many highs including scoring the winning try against England in the quarter-final of the World Cup in 1987.
Former team-mate Jonathan Davies, now presenter of television's Scrum V, described him as a "fantastic scrum half" and "a great ambassador for Wales".
