FIRE crews had to cut a man from his vehicle last night following a crash outside the Duffryn public house, Newport.
The man was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital after fire- fighters freed him from the wreckage.
According to Gwent Police, there were no "serious injuries" to the driver. No other vehicles were involved in the accident on Duffryn Road last night, which occurred just after 8.15pm.
