DIVISION Five East club Pill Harriers have been handed probably the toughest draw of the Gwent clubs in the third round of the Principality Cup - at home to Division Two Tredegar on Saturday.

Tredegar may have slipped in recent seasons - but are still a tough side to crack and their trip to Newport should attract a good crowd.

In the last round Pill won 24-22 at home to Mountain Ash. Another intriguing draw pits progressive Division Four East side Cwmbran, 14-10 conquerors of Newport HSOB despite being out-scored two tries to one, at home to Division Two high-fliers Llangennech.

And Abertillery, once a Premier side but now in Division Two, face a potential banana skin away to Division 4 West side Waunarlwydd, 46-8 conquerors of Llantwit Fardre last time.

The draw has thrown up a number of all-Gwent clashes with Rhymney, always a strong cup side, at home to fellow Division Two side Brynmawr, struggling at the bottom. And old rivals Abergavenny and Risca, virtually side by side in Division Three East, meet at Bailey Park.

Both sides won away from home in the last round, Abergavenny 12-7 at Morriston and Risca 26-15 at Pontyberem.

Division Four East Fleur-de-Lys face a trip to Division Three West Resolven while Division Two Oakdale, doing much better this season, visit top Division Three West side Vardre.

Revised third round draw affecting Gwent clubs: Abergavenny v Risca, Cwmbran v Llangennech, Pill Harriers v Tredegar, Resolven v Fleur-de-Lys, Rhymney v Brynmawr, Vardre v Oakdale, Waunarlwydd v Abertillery.
