PENCOED Castle, pictured, - the building at the heart of the failed plan for a theme park in Gwent - is up for sale for £2.5 million.
Proposals for Legend Court on land near Magor caused controversy, with the scheme's backers, who claimed it would include film studios and create 17,600 jobs, clashing with opponents concerned at the environmental implications.
Last year the plans finally bit the dust after Newport council rejected a planning application in December. The American backers withdrew support. There has been a castle on the site since the 13th century.
