RISING Welsh boxing star Bradley Pryce (pictured) will make the first defence of his WBO Intercontinental lightweight title against the Namibian Lucky Samba.
Undefeated Gwent 21-year-old Pryce, rated one of the top up-and-coming prospects in the sport, joint headlines the Cardiff Ice Rink bill with stablemate Gavin Rees tomorrow night.
The talented Rees will also make the first defence of his WBO Intercontinental featherweight crown against the Ukranian Nicolai Eremeev.
Pryce and Rees, who both come out of the Enzo Calzaghe stable at Newbridge, are both aiming to become new stars of Welsh boxing.
Previous champions who have headlined the Ice Rink are Enzo's son Joe, the undefeated WBO world super-middleweight champion, Steve Robinson, Robbie Regan and Nicky Piper.
Pryce said: "I'm looking forward to headlining a show for the first time and especially in Cardiff.
"It's great to be in a venue where so many Welsh greats have fought. I'm delighted that my opponent has been confirmed and will now concentrate towards the big night."
The undefeated Rees said: "Hopefully this will be the first of many great nights in the big-fight city where myself and Bradley can top the bill. "We are the new generation of Welsh fighters and can bring back the glory nights to the Ice Rink."
Tickets for 'Fire on Ice' are available from the Sports Network Box Office on 01992-550 888 or from the Ice Rink on 02920-645 988.
