NO intro is required for the Fringe's highlights, Man, who make a rare small club appearance as part of the Fringe of Radio 2 Live in Cardiff.
"The smaller venue doesn't affect us at all," said Martin Ace, bass player and singer. "As long as we can fit us on stage then there's no problem."
The members of Man at present are Martin Ace, Terry Williams (drums), Gareth Thorrington (keyboards), Micky Jones (guitar/vocals), Deke Leonard (guitar/piano/ vocals) and Bob Richards (drums). Typically, being a band for long improvisations, they're leaving the gig to chance.
"I honestly don't know what we are going to do," confessed Martin. "We are a very lackadaisical band. We don't decide what we are going to do until we get to the gig and are about to go on."
This year man release their first acoustic album, cheekily titled Undrugged as a play on the Unplugged series and the band's hazy past. The album will feature Man classics, such as Scotch Corner, Manillo, Elvis Presley's Trying to Get to You, Ray Charles' Georgia on my Mind and a lost Man track, I Always Thought the Walrus was Protected, which is about the death of John Lennon.
Martin is also known for his role in the hilarious Welsh film, Twin Town, a tale of low life set in Swansea. Martin played The Rocking Sikh, a crazy turban wearing rocker who's lamped on the head with a glass bottle in a karaoke scene.
