A GWENT man was found dead on the day he was due to be served an eviction notice to move out of his home, police said.
The body of James Hector Nash was discovered at his home in the Bulwark area of Chepstow around midday on Friday, police said.
Officers were called to a house in Magnolia Close, Thornwell, by ambulance crews who were at the scene.
Inspector Steve Taylor, of Gwent Police, said Mr Nash had been taken by ambulance to the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport, where he was certified dead. Gwent coroner David Bowen has been informed.
Police say they are not treating the death as suspicious and are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death.
Mr Nash, who is believed to have been in his late 40s, was due to be served an eviction notice by the Charter Housing Associa-tion after it obtained a court order at the beginning of September because of his behaviour.
At the time of his death it is believed Mr Nash had been living alone.
Police say they had began investigating Mr Nash's behaviour towards people living in the area almost 12 months ago after complaints were received.
