MIDFIELDER Scott Griffin (pictured) will be out of action for up to three weeks after damaging knee ligaments in Newport County's 2-0 away win over Salisbury City.
Despite treatment from the County's medical staff, Griffin will sit out Newport's next few matches, including tomorrow's game against Cambridge City and next weekend's FA Cup second qualifying round tie at Swindon Supermarine.
Winger Stuart James also misses tomorrow's game after his hamstring injury flared up again in training last night.
The Argus columnist did the damage in County's 2-1 defeat at Weymouth ten days ago and had been expected to be fit for tomorrow, but he pulled up after twenty minutes of training last night.
But the dual injuries are covered by the return of Nathan Davies, who has recovered from a bad dose of 'flu, and Scott Walker.
Walker missed Tuesday's win with deep ankle bruising, but along with Davies is expected to make a return to the Newport side.
Both captain Darren Robison and Billy Clark missed training last night, but are expected to play tomorrow.
Robison has picked up knocks in County's last two games and has deep brusing to a knee and ankle, while former Forest Green Rovers defender Clark has a minor foot injury.
