BLACKBURN'S Wales striker Nathan Blake (pictured) is set to join Wolverhampton Wanderers in a deal worth over a million pounds.
The two clubs have agreed a fee for the Newport-born star - believed to be in the region of £1.49million, and Blake is set to have imminent talks with Molineux boss Dave Jones.
Rovers chief executive John Williams said: "We have been negotiating with Wolverhampton Wanderers; a transfer fee has been determined, and it is now up to the player. Nathan has been given permission to talk with the club."
Blake, 29 and a regular Welsh international, joined Rovers from neighbouring Bolton Wanderers in October 1998 for a £4million plus fee.
He missed much of last season with an Achilles injury but did make 12 appearances, scoring six goals.
Although he is currently the only Rovers striker to have scored a Premiership goal so far this season - as a substitute at Derby on the opening day - he is currently behind Matt Jansen, Corrado Grabbi and Marcus Bent in the pecking order.
Veteran Mark Hughes was also preferred as a back-up striker at Sunderland last Saturday.
Meanwhile, Jeff Kenna, the last of Rovers' 1995 Premiership-winning side, has been told he can leave on a free transfer.
And in last night's Worthington Cup, late goals from Wales striker Craig Bellamy steered Newcastle to a 4-1 win over Brentford.
