POLICE are anxious for a teenager missing for a fortnight to get in touch and let them know she is safe.
Fifteen-year-old Kelly Diane Jones (pictured) was last seen at her foster home in Pontypool on August 31.
She was reported missing just before midnight by her worried foster parents; she had taken no clothes or money with her.
Police at Pontypool say that since then she has been spotted and spoken to by friends, but officers are unable to track her down.
She phoned her carer last week and claimed she would be coming home at the weekend, but failed to do so.
Sergeant Ian Green, of Pontypool police, said: "We suspect she is in the Newport area, staying with friends. We have spoken to people in Newport who have seen her since she went missing, but we haven't been able to trace her. We want her to contact us or social services so we can be sure she is safe and well."
Kelly is described as 5ft 7in tall and of slim build, with brown eyes and short, cropped, dyed red hair.
She has a belly-button piercing, three earrings in each ear, rings on each finger and a scar on her left eyebrow.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact Pontypool police on 01495 764711.
