SOUTH Wales bands stormed last week's Kerrang! awards with Newport's Feeder and Cardiff's Lostprophets stealing the show.
Britain's most enduring heavy metal magazine dubbed Feeder the Best British Live Act and Lostprophets the Best New British Band.
After umpteen tours already completed this year, including the first Feeder headline appearance at Newport Centre, the band, that features members from Chepstow and Newport, tours Europe in October followed by a tour of larger UK venues including Nottingham and Wembley arenas in November.
Recently-signed upstarts Lostprophets seem destined for great things with their radical boy band/metal band hybrid whipping squat teens in lathers with their every move.
Their Fake Sound of Progress is re-released in the autumn on Visible Noise in the UK and Columbia Records/Sony Music worldwide with remixes by Michael Barbiero, of Metallica and Cypress Hill fame.
Meanwhile the Lostprophets-will-move-to-America rumour mill grinds on.
