CWMBRAN Town take on Barry Town tonight (7.30pm) in the League of Wales Cup without five of their first team squad.
The Crows start tonight's game at Port Talbot with Richard Parker, Chris Watkins and Craig Hughes suspended, but available for selection at the weekend.
Still out with an ankle injury is Richard David, who was hurt during Cwmbran's UEFA Cup preliminary round match in Yugoslavia, but he too is expected to be considered for Saturday's match at Llanelli.
Phil James is unavailable because his job in London means he cannot make the kick-off, but Cwmbran are still relishing the prospect of facing last season's League of Wales champs.
Coach Roger Gibbins said: 'It's a cup game, so it hasn't quite got the same intensity as a league encounter, but it's still good to have an opportunity to play Barry.
'They are the yard-stick in our league by which teams compare themselves.'
With Cwmbran having been heavily involved in their unsuccessful bid to progress in the UEFA Cup, Gibbins said he does not feel like the league season has truly begun.
'Although we have played our first league match, it doesn't feel like we have got going yet.' Cwmbran Town squad: G Wager, R Carter, J Wile, S Mainwaring, S Wharton, N Smothers, N Wigg, A Moore, L Brown, R Griffiths, N Cotterall, D Beckett, R Sugar.
