A DOUBLE bill of home-grown talent plays the Riverside Tavern, Newport, next week.
Schaffer from Cwmbran and Death of Cool from Newport play on Tuesday, September 4. Schaffer make a quick swoop south from the Valley of the Crows, where they have played more often.
Their brand of poppy punk has been well received largely due to their enthusiastic performance and no-holds-barred attitude to gigging. Rock on!
Meanwhile, below them on the bill at the Riverside Tavern, Death of Cool explore an altogether different musical vein, which can be described as Gorkys gone mad.
The three-piece has played on and off for a few years and has only recently reformed with a sound distinct from previous efforts.
With just bass, drums and guitar Death of Cool find pastures most, better equipped, bands struggle to reach.
