England fast bowler Darren Gough has dismissed reports linking him with a move away from Yorkshire and has called for the club to launch an investigation into the source of the claims.
Speaking on the eve of his star-studded benefit match, Gough reacted angrily to reports that his Yorkshire contract may not be renewed.
County chief executive Chris Hassell this morning strenuously denied the story, but the continued speculation is beginning to try Gough's patience.
"This is the biggest load of rubbish I have ever read. Chris Hassell phoned me this morning to tell me there was no truth in it," he said.
"One disappointing aspect is that someone is getting this material from inside the club.
We just have to catch them, set the bait for them. Obviously there is someone from inside Yorkshire telling a certain newspaper."
"I'm sure the club will investigate it."
Hassell described the stories as "absolute rubbish."
