WELSH internationals Rob Edwards and Gareth Taylor have been named in Mark Hughes' 25 man squad for the World Cup qualifying games against Armenia and Norway next month.
And Burnley striker Taylor says the news has come out of the blue: "I'm surprised, but delighted, that I'm back," said Taylor.
Taylor, who moved to Burnley during the summer from Manchester City, following a loan period with the Clarets last season, added: "I still need to keep improving - I'm sure I will. I definitely put the recall down to my move to Burnley."
Meanwhile Preston North End defender Edwards' recall to the international squad was put on hold in June - because of his holidays.
Edwards' call up for Wales World Cup qualifying Group Five games against Poland and against Ukraine had clashed with his summer holidays in Hawaii.
Edwards had become the forgotten Welsh international - after being in the wilderness for three years.
He said at the time: "I spoke to Mark Hughes about the situation and we discussed it at length - he kindly gave me the time off to go away on holiday. I believe the Welsh door will not be shut on my future chances".
Edwards joined Preston from Bristol City in July 1999 - having been at City since 1991, following his move from Carlisle.
Edwards last got a call up to the Welsh squad three years ago against Tunisia and Malta.
