A GRAND country house, the best-loved classical music, fireworks and the perfect spot for a picnic.
Tredegar House, Newport, has it all for the annual Proms in the Park tomorrow.
Providing the music will be the National Chamber Orchestra of Wales, conducted by Fraser Goulding and featuring the soprano Ros Evans.
The concert will include classical favourites, such as Spring from Vivaldi's four Seasons, the Thunder and Lightning Polka, Eine Kleine Nacht Musik and Nessun Dorma, the work made famous by Luciano Pavarotti.
Operatic excerpts will be from Carmen and The Marriage of Figaro.
The grand finale will be a firework display to the accompaniment of Strauss's Radetsky March.
All this has been organised. Good weather has to be hoped for.
Doors open at 6pm tomorrow, August 11, and the concert begins at 7.30pm.
