IT was a brolly good show for 75-year-olds at Chepstow racecourse yesterday.
To mark the racecourse's 75th anniversary, anyone who could prove they were born in 1926 or 2001 were allowed in to watch the eight-card programme of races free of charge, with two guests.
That included Chepstow's Dorothy Mort, who sported an umbrella with an equine design to beat the bad weather, pictured.
Also among those taking up the offer were a group of OAPs from Pontypool's Old Comrades Club.
Jack Berry, 75, from Sebastopol, and Tom Bashan, also 75, from Pontypool, managed to get themselves and their mates in for nothing on the fun day out. But Malcolm Forward, 71, from Blaenavon, joked that that was where his luck on the day ended.
