CONCERN is growing for the safety of a Gwent teenage girl who has been missing from her home for two weeks.
Aislang Donovan, aged 13, was last seen leaving her father's home in Blaenavon two weeks ago to return to her mother's home in Milman Street, Newport.
A police spokeswoman said although it was not the first time that the 13-year-old had gone missing, police officers were becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare. Her father, Ivor Conaghan, is asking Aislang to return home and made an appeal for anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact the police.
He said: "Both her mother and I are very worried about her and would appeal for anyone who knows of her whereabouts to contact the nearest police station."
Aislang is described as 5ft 2in tall, of medium build, with blonde and ginger hair which is swept back. Anyone who can assist the police should contact DC Ian Hodgkinson of Newport CID on 01633 244999.
