ARGUS delivery boy Matthew Prosser has had to do his rounds on foot since thieves stole his bike.
The youngster was devastated when he discovered the bike, a Christmas present, had been stolen from the shed in the garden of his home in Mill Street, Cwmfelinfach, on Monday morning.
Now Matthew, 14, has to walk to deliver 50 copies of the Argus each afternoon. His mother, Michelle, said: "He was gobsmacked.
"He did love that bike. He used his bike a lot - it was everything to him." The bike was a lime green Apollo suspension model worth around £300.
Mrs Prosser said: "He plays for three football teams and the bike was good exercise for him. He is hoping to get it back." The theft is being investigated by Blackwood police.
