GLAMORGAN have set themselves a target of winning at least one of their next two county championship matches to climb off the bottom of the First Division table (write Paul Tully and Josh Ball).
Weather problems mean Glamorgan are bottom of their division which is why they need at least one victory from their annual visit to Swansea when they face Kent tomorrow and Yorkshire next Wednesday.
Yorkshire will be without paceman Darren Gough and batsman Michael Vaughan, though Glamorgan may also be without Robert Croft if all are needed for England Test duty.
Despite their problems, Glamorgan vice-captain Adrian Dale says confidence is high. "It was nice to get a win under our belts against Lancashire in the Norwich Union League," said Dale after six successive one-day defeats.
"We've had two solid draws in the championship, but rain deprived us of a result. "Then with the game washed out in Manchester we only got the same number of points as a loss and suddenly we're bottom, which isn't a fair reflection of our performances. "Now we need to get a win out of the next two games.
"It was a big test for us against a Lancashire side with nine internationals, especially coming off the back of the B&H Cup defeats, but we did well." Glamorgan wicket-keeper Adrian Shaw has passed a fitness test on his injured finger and will play.
Glamorgan's hopes of taking on Australia were dashed as Yorkshire's eight-wicket victory in the B&H quarter-final yesterday. If they had reached the final, it would have left a gap in the Aussies' warm-up fixtures.
