GIVE the dog a phone... It's a case of all clients great and small for a Monmouthshire-based telecommunications guru.

International call centre consultant Ruth Field is the driving force behind the opening of a new residential call centre in Cardiff and a training academy in the Brecon Beacons. Ms Field, of Abergavenny, is group managing director of the Joshua Consulting Group and is credited with the creation of the Iceland Frozen Foods call centre in North Wales.

The group handles large businesses such as Iceland Wales and also smaller, but equally important clients like The Veterinary Health Centre in Chepstow.

Ms Field said: "The opening of the new offices and the announcement about the residential academy underlines our business confidence in Wales' call centre industry and its potential for continued growth and job creation.

"We deliver a series of 20 specifically developed communication-based training modules, designed to meet the needs of anyone that regularly uses the telephone to build and promote customer relationships in both sales and service.

"And because of this personalised approach, our clients range from a veterinary practice in Chepstow right through to giant corporate call centres."

Offering bespoke training and consultancy services to the burgeoning call centre industry, Joshua Consulting Group's new offices in Cardiff Bay mark an alliance between two of Ruth's companies.

The development brings together Joshua Consulting Group with the respected Ruth Field Consultancy, which is now known as RFC International.

Ms Field said: "With the opening of these offices we are creating five new jobs immediately, and we are hoping to recruit another 10 people within the next 12 months."
