THE Welsh Conservative Party was today focusing on foot and mouth and its effect on the agriculture industry.
Shadow Minister for Agriculture Tim Yeo was to be in Monmouth and Brecon to meet farmers affected.
In the Monmouth constituency, Mr Yeo was meeting farmers from the Grosmont Valley; the locals have dubbed the area Death Valley. The valley's livestock have been all but wiped out by foot-and-mouth disease.
Mr Yeo was visiting the Old Pandy Inn, near Abergavenny, to meet the farmers who have had their animals culled.
