A GWENT woman is pleading for her daughter to come home, nearly a week after leaving her house to go to a barbecue.
Single-mother of two Caro-line Thomas, aged 39, has been missing since leaving the home of her mother at Mountain View, in Markham, Blackwood, at about 7pm on Saturday.
Gwent police are appealing for anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to get in touch on 01495 223673.
Last night Mrs Thomas's worried mother, Pauline Thomas, urged her daughter to get in touch "for the sake of the children". "We haven't heard from her since Saturday and we are worried about her, especially her two children, Emma (13), and Mark (11)."
She said her daughter had gone out to go to a friend's barbecue in Cefn Hengoed.
Mrs Thomas said that she had no cause to concern about her daughter's state of mind.
Caroline Thomas is described as slim with coloured red hair and blue eyes. At the time of her disappearance she was wearing a navy blouse with white spots, black dress and blazer and a black handbag.
