THE search is on in Gwent to find a gorgeous glasses wearer to be the future face of Specsavers Opticians.
The UK optical retailer has launched a nation-wide search for people with real 'specs appeal' to enter the Look of 2001 competition, with a top prize of a holiday to Mauritius.
Several previous winners have left their jobs to take up modelling full time, like Rachel Jones from Llanelli.
Since becoming the Wales regional finalist for the face of Specsavers in 1999, Rachel has had tremendous success with a leading London modelling agency.
Leighton Griffiths, director of Specsavers Opticians in Newport, said: "This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who thinks they have a winning look to try their hand at modelling.
"I know we have a number of customers here who would make great Look of 2001 contestants and hopefully one of them will go on to represent Wales in the national final."
Anyone who would like to enter should call at a Specsavers Opticians, pick up a leaflet and send it with a photo to the freepost address. Entrants can also enter via the website at www.specsavers.com
