ASSOCIATED British Ports (ABP) has re-organised its senior management team in South Wales.
The team manages the five ports in the region, Newport, Cardiff, Barry , Port Talbot and Swansea, as one unit under the leadership of John Coppin, ABP port director, South Wales ports.
Simon Brett, deputy port manager, South Wales has been transferred to Newport after being based at Cardiff and Barry.
Mr Brett, aged 33, will have day-to-day responsibility for Newport's business development and general management.
Matthew Kennerley, aged 34, has been appointed deputy port manager, South Wales and will oversee the integration of the region's operations into one function.
Clive Thomas, aged 26, previously sales and marketing manager ABP South Wales Ports, has been appointed assistant port manager South Wales assisting John Copping.
Peter O'Brien, aged 42, assistant manager South Wales Ports continues to provide support to Colin Sheppard, port manager Swansea and Port Talbot.
Mr Copping said: "We now have a strong, cohesive team in place to implement fully the integration of ABP's five South Wales ports into one unit.
"By focusing our activities in this way we will be able to improve further the level of service we can offer existing customers and be better placed to attract new business."
