A BRACE of tries by centre Mark Bell gave Risca the Worthington Ben Francis Cup for the fifth time after with a 22-17 victory over favourites Tredegar at Blackwood RFC.
Tredegar had looked well on their way to a comfortable victory when outside half Gerwyn Pearson and wing Daniel Morris went over in the opening quarter.
Risca were brought back into the game with a well worked try from wing Lee Llewellyn who dived over in the corner.
Evans improved it with a tremendous conversion from wide out making it 17-10 to Tredegar at the interval.
The second half belonged to Risca. Bell scored twice and Evans converted as the Risca defence held firm to give the underdogs a well deserved win.
