DAVID Rees is considering his future as Cross Keys coach amid speculation he is considering stepping down (writes Robin Davey.
He will reach a final decision soon after discussions with the club, but if he does decide to go it will have nothing to do with Keys' relegation to the First Division.
He has been promoted in his job and is now vice-principal at the Nash complex of Coleg Gwent, a post which involves extra hours.
He and his wife have a young baby, he is moving house in Cardiff, and on top of work and family commitments is also Wales under 19s coach.
He was in charge of the Wales squad at the recent Junior World Cup in Chile, and made a big impression as Wales reached the semi-finals.
He could be about to be offered a post within the WRU coaching set-up.
As a result of all this he may find it difficult staying on as Cross Keys coach, having already done six years in the post.
"I'm taking a few weeks to consider my future with Cross Keys, and we need to sit down and talk it through," said Rees.
