EBBW Vale coach Mike Ruddock says that whoever joins the club next season will be part of an attractive, dynamic style of rugby.

He says Ebbw Vale in 2001-2002 will be built on new players, new enthusiam and a new approach.

"We've been trying to coach like that all season and we hope now some players will come in during the close season and cue into that very quickly," said Ruddock.

"It will be a big task again next season, but it can't be any bigger than this. "I am pleased that out of the debris our style of play has changed.

"At the start of the season we carried on with the same moves and plans that the boys had been playing on for a number of years, but the game has moved on.

"It's a much faster, more organised, more dynamic game now and we have to move with it and we've tried to create a style of play that reflects those changes.

"I thought against Neath and against Newport in the Principality Cup semi-final we saw the game we're trying to coach coming through.

"Hopefully, even though there are going to be some new players, new enthusiasm, we will bridge the gap very quickly.

"I'm hoping the fact we've got a summer with the players we didn't have last year will help us and hopefully every player who signs for us this year will have made his mind up that he wants to play for the club.

"I think the reality was that last year a lot of players were on contracts and had already made their minds up to leave the club.

"I think that reflected in our performances. "There's an oppotunity now for young players to come here and be part of an attactive style of rugby.

"Whether or not they will be good enough, only time will tell.

"We hope we can build a team with new enthusiasm, new spirit, and with individuals who want to play for the club."
