JAZZ fans from around the country flocked to Pontypool over the weekend to see some of the country's top performers in action.
Around 3,000 visitors packed out Pontypool Park on Friday evening for the grand opening of the annual Jazz in the Park festival.
Willie Garnett's Big Band opened the festival, and on Saturday jazz legend Humphrey Lyttleton took to the stage and wowed the crowds.
Festival organiser Tom Williams said: "It's been very successful yet again.
"All the musicians love playing here at Pontypool because the atmosphere is so friendly."
Councillor Glyn Caron, Torfaen executive member for leisure, youth and culture, visited the show throughout the weekend.
He said: "The opening night was absolutely fantastic.
"It was really packed there this year. It just seems to grow and grow, and get better and better.
"I think the Brecon festival should watch out."
For the first time at this year's festival visitors were able to camp at the New Panteg Rugby Club ground, at Jarrod's Field, Pontypool.
