IF YOU think you saw the last of Gwent's Lord of Steel rocker Ivor Beynon on the X-Factor, think again.
Because despite Ivor failing to make it through the first round, the X-Factor's ITV2 show, the Xtra Factor, visited him to film a children's party at his Abertillery home - and he was told he has made it into the Xtra Factor's top ten auditons from this series.
Ivor, a registered child minder, said: "I was holding a Lord of Steel party for the children and Xtra Factor came down to film us watching my audition.
"They asked some of the children what they thought of my audition and what they thought of the judges' comments."
The producers of the show told Ivor that he had made presenter Ben Shephard's top ten auditions.
"I thought it was brilliant that I made the top ten - when you think that 16,000 people auditioned and I am in the top ten - it's really cool.
"I like Ben a lot, he has a good sense of humour and we get on well."
Ivor Beynon auditioned at the Millennium Stadium earlier this year for the competition and didn't manage to impress Mr 'nasty' Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh or Sharon Osbourne. But Mrs Ozzy Osbourne said she liked Ivor's roar.
"The team have said I will be appearing a lot on the Xtra factor show from October until November.
"I'm not sure what position I made in Ben's top ten yet and I don't know if I will be called back but they did ask me to sing I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day."
