Leading independent timber exporter and distributor Premier Forest Products has announced the opening of a new, state-of-the-art £2m warehouse and office complex at Nexus Point, near Birmingham.
The £50m-turnover business, founded in 1993 by Terry Edgell, Dilwyn Howells and Nigel Williams, already has its flagship offices in Newport as well as warehouse sites in Hampshire and Worcestershire.
Its new base, at the Wilson Bowden development just off the M6, is part of an expansion strategy which the directors hope will help grow turnover to £80m by 2010. Joint managing director Dilwyn Howells said: "We see a significant proportion of our growth coming from the Midlands and the North and it was important for us to secure a suitable base from which to service this market. The location is good and we have ample space to allow us to fulfil our targets for expansion."
Advising Premier was Simon Morgan, partner at Cardiff-based Dolmans solicitors.
