Chief executive of Wales' leading women's economic development agency in Wales Chwarae Teg, Ruth Marks, has moved on after six years in the role.

Ruth previously worked for Business in the Commun-ity Wales, the Wales Council for Voluntary Action, in addition to roles in the private and public sectors. Her new role, which she took up last month, is director of RNIB Cymru.

Cardiff University law and history graduate Ruth said: "I've thoroughly enjoyed my time as chief executive of Chwarae Teg, which is now regarded as the leading agency promoting women's economic development in Wales. "Chwarae Teg has an excellent staff team based all over Wales, it has a strong representative board of directors and charity trustees and works in partnership with organisations to promote equality and economic development. "Althou-gh I am sad to leave Chwarae Teg, the organisation is in excellent shape, with a mix of established and new projects in hand."

Chwarae Teg acting chief executive Yvonne Griffith-Jones said: "Ruth has brought a strong focus on achievement of key goals at Chwarae Teg.

The organisation has certainly grown in stature and proudly appears on the equality maps as a result."
