AS part of the hugely successful Classics By Candlelight series, The Riverfront, Newport, is offering an evening of the highest-quality musical entertainment on Saturday, November 26, at 8pm.
The Locrian Ensemble perform in sumptuous period costume in a beautiful candlelit setting, which, combined with the elegant surroundings of The Riverfront create the perfect atmosphere in which to enjoy masterpieces such as Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Three Divertimento Movements and Salzburg Symphony.
Bringing together acclaimed string soloists, the Locrian Ensemble was formed in 1995 ad since that time has established a formidable reputation for recordings, broadcasts and live performances.
With an ensemble which demystifies and debunks the stuffiness usually associated with classical concert-going, this is the perfect way to enjoy superb music in a magical setting!
