THE former girlfriend of a man accused of murdering Newport's Lemy Bullock yesterday described how she saw three men wearing Scream masks outside the pub where he died on March 15, 2005.
Sarah Pritchard, 26, who said she was in a 16-month relationship with Mohammed 'Mo' Nasser about eight years ago, said: "I heard screaming and somebody said, 'Lemy's been stabbed'."
Mo Nasser, 44, of Kirkby Lane, and Martyn Bruce, 38, of Courtybella Gardens, both Pill, and Nasser's brother, Abdul 'Sammy' Nasser, 39, of Bassaleg Road, Newport, deny murder.
A fourth man, Mohammed Abbes, 50, of Cardiff Road, Newport, is also on trial for assisting an offender.
Aaron Kent, 24, of Livale Court, Bettws, Newport, has already pleaded guilty to murdering Mr Bullock, 36.
The court also heard that witnesses saw Mo Nasser, Kent, Bruce and another man beating brain-damaged Johnny Morgan hours before.
Johnny Morgan, brain damaged after a steelworks industrial accident four years ago, said he was attacked in Pill's Commercial Road on March 15 last year.
Before he gave evidence, another prosecution witness, Maureen O'Brien, said she saw the disabled man being beaten by Mo Nasser, Kent, Bruce and another man, Marty Zahra.
She said they were "like a pack of animals after prey" when they set upon him outside Bryn's corner shop on Pill's Commercial Road.
Mr Morgan said the alleged beating left him with injuries to his arms, legs, face and hands.
Mrs O'Brien said she tried to help Mr Morgan but came under attack herself and was hit in the leg.
